From May 24 to June 5, 2023, Dr. Douglas visited the Tigray region of Ethiopia to assess the ongoing collaborative support provided to Samre and Atsbi Hospitals. During his visit, he also had the opportunity to tour Ayder Comprehensive Specialized Hospital at Mekelle University, College of Health Sciences and engage in discussions with the management. In his meeting with Dr. Kibrom Gebreselassie, Chief Executive Director of the College of Health Sciences at Mekelle University, Dr. Douglas expressed his appreciation to the hospital for their unwavering dedication to serving the community during the most challenging times.
